Separation from the World

As the called out Chosen Ones of the Lord God Almighty we're informed by the manifest holy Word of God. That you and I are to depart from having any fellowship with it except to witness to them about the saving grace of the Gospel message of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, here in this ministry post I'll set forth steps to help us adject our lifestyle to the Biblical direction of the Word of God. Here's five things to help us walk upright with the Lord God Almighty ...  1. Separation from the World Christians are called to be separate from the world and its sinful ways. This is emphasized in several scriptures: Romans 12:2 : "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." 2 Corinthians 6:17 : "Therefore, come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you." 2. Living as Light in Darkness Believers are described as light in a dark world, called to shine and live...

The Unbridgeable Chasm: Discerning God the Creator from Unholy Gods

In a world teeming with diverse spiritual beliefs, distinguishing between the one true God, the Creator of all things, and what scripture terms "unholy gods" or idols is paramount. The Bible consistently presents a clear and profound difference, highlighting the unique attributes of the Almighty in stark contrast to the impotence, falsehood, and often demonic origins of other purported deities. The Sole Creator: A God Without Equal The foundational distinction of God the Creator lies in His singular role as the origin and sustainer of the universe. He is not a created being, nor does He owe His existence to any other power. His creative act is definitive, exclusive, and demonstrates His absolute sovereignty. Genesis 1:1 declares with majestic simplicity, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."* This opening verse immediately establishes Him as the uncaused first cause, bringing everything into existence from nothing. Isaiah 44:24 powerfully assert...

True Wisdom Leads to: Both Honer & Riches

The Scriptures consistently paint a picture of a profound and multifaceted inheritance awaiting the wise, an inheritance that encompasses not only spiritual blessings but also, in many contexts, a measure of both riches and glory.  This is not to say that earthly wealth is the sole or primary reward of wisdom, but rather that a life lived in accordance with divine wisdom often brings forth a prosperity that extends beyond the purely material, culminating in an eternal glory. The Bible frequently connects wisdom with long life, honor, and a form of prosperity. Proverbs, in particular, highlights these themes: Proverbs 3:16 states, "Long life is in her [wisdom's] right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor." This verse directly links wisdom with both material wealth ("riches") and social esteem ("honor" or "glory"). It suggests that living wisely is a pathway to a life that is both abundant and respected. Proverbs 8:18 declares, "Ric...

The Obtaining of True Wisdom

The verses found in Proverbs 3:13-18 offer profound guidance on the incredible value and benefits of seeking and holding onto wisdom. Let's break down what these powerful words mean for us today: Proverbs 3:13-15: Wisdom's Unmatched Worth "Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her." What it means:  This isn't just about being smart or accumulating facts. "Wisdom" here refers to practical insight, good judgment, and the ability to apply knowledge correctly in life. "Understanding" is about truly grasping how things work.  The passage tells us that finding this kind of wisdom brings true happiness and a blessed life. It then emphasizes that wisdom is far, far more valuable than any amount of money, precious metals, or jewels.  No material possession, no matter how shiny or exp...

The Concept of "Chosen Ones," or the Elect

The concept of "Chosen Ones," or the "elect," is a significant theme woven throughout the manifest Word of God, the Bible. It speaks to a profound truth about God's sovereign plan and His relationship with humanity.  Far from being an arbitrary selection, the Scriptures reveal that God's choosing is purposeful, gracious, and central to His redemptive work in the world.Who are the Chosen Ones? From a biblical perspective, the Chosen Ones are those whom God has set apart for a specific purpose, ultimately for salvation and a relationship with Him.  This choosing is not based on any inherent worthiness or merit in the individuals themselves, but solely on God's sovereign will and grace. In the Old Testament, the nation of Israel was often referred to as God's chosen people. Deuteronomy 7:6 states, "For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who a...

Swayed by Fleeting Trends

In a world often swayed by fleeting trends and personal desires, there walks a son who stands firm, his compass fixed on an unwavering north: the laws of the Lord God Almighty. His is not a superficial adherence, but a profound commitment, for he keeps God's commands not merely in his mind, but close to his heart. This son understands that true freedom and abundant life are found not in forsaking divine boundaries, but in embracing them. For him, God's Word is not a rigid rulebook, but a living guide, a source of wisdom that shapes his very being.  He knows, as the Psalmist declared, that "How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word" (Psalm 119:9). His obedience isn't born of fear, but of reverence and love. He delights in the Lord's instruction, meditating on it day and night (Psalm 1:2). When faced with temptation, the Holy Word acts as a shield, a constant reminder of the path of righteousness.  He hears the echoes of Deuter...

Guidance for the Child of God

Living close to Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior is the earnest desire of many believers, a journey that involves a continuous transformation of heart, mind, and action. This pursuit is not merely a spiritual ideal but a practical daily walk, deeply rooted in the teachings and example of Christ Himself, illuminated profoundly by the Holy Scriptures. For those seeking to draw near to Jesus in this dual capacity, Christian guidance consistently points to several key areas: 1. Acknowledging His Lordship and Accepting His Saving Grace The foundational step is a sincere recognition of Jesus as both Lord and Savior. As Savior, He offers redemption from sin through His atoning death and resurrection. As Lord, He claims ultimate authority over every aspect of a believer's life. This dual acceptance is beautifully articulated in Romans 10:9: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This ...
